A 5-month-old male infant was killed recently in an Ascension Parish car accident, KPLC 7 reported on May 6.
Reports coming from authorities revealed that the two-vehicle accident happened on U.S. 61, near Louisiana Highway 73. Sergeant Jared Sandifer identified the fatality as Emanuel Lange, Jr. Sgt. Sandifer stated that Emanuel was an occupant of a vehicle operated by Tennille Willis, 35, which was struck by Adria Brignac, 31, as she attempted to turn left.
Willis’ vehicle reportedly struck a traffic light post after it left the highway. The baby, who was properly secured inside the vehicle, died in the crash, although no details were released about the drivers’ conditions. A citation was brought against Brignac for making a left turn in an improper manner, but the incident remains under investigation by police authorities.
