A tanker truck loaded with propane gas in Hammond, Louisiana has been involved in a single-vehicle accident, a January 13 article of Fox 8 reported.
Information coming from the Louisiana State Police says that on January 12, a tractor-trailer overturned after exiting Interstate 12 and merging onto Interstate 55. The semi-truck was traveling north on the interstate when it reportedly veered off the road.
Though the tanker did contain propane gas when it flipped, police later confirmed that there was no leak caused by the collision. Although several lanes on the Interstate were closed down as a result of the wreck, police said no one was harmed. Responding crews carefully extracted the propane container so as to ensure none of the flammable material was spilled in the clean-up efforts. Details regarding the tanker driver were not released in the report.
