Man in stable condition after his vehicle falls from Causeway bridge

Authorities updated the community to say that the person inside the vehicle that recently fell from the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway bridge was “OK,” an August 8 article of WGNO reported.

According to reports, traffic flow on the bridge was blocked on August 8 while responding crews worked to salvage a vehicle that fell from the bridge after a two-vehicle accident. Information coming from the Causeway authorities revealed that at around 8:15 a.m. a Ford F-150 fell into the lake after colliding with a Toyota Tundra in the bridge’s southbound lanes. There were no further details released regarding the incident and the names of the people involved in the crash were withheld. Authorities revealed that the recent overboard accident was the bridge’s 15th in the last two decades.
