At least one person was killed and two others sustained injuries in an accident in Slidell, Louisiana involving three vehicles, a September 6 article of northjersey.com reported.
The Louisiana State Police revealed on September 5 that the fatal collision occurred on I-10. Steven Fernandez, 26, died as a result of his injuries after the vehicle he was driving was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Milton Frank. Reports said Frank’s vehicle veered into the opposite lane and struck Fernandez’s vehicle. The collision occurred after Frank lost control of the vehicle he was driving. Frank’s vehicle then struck a third vehicle following the first collision. Two other people sustained injuries in the incident. Authorities released a statement saying they believed intoxicated driving was not a factor in the crash. However, it was heavily raining and the road was wet at the time of the crash.
