The fuel tank can crack and cause the fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.
This recall involves model year 2009 through 2015 Hammerhead Off-Road GL 150, GTS 150 and GTS Platinum fun-karts. The recalled fun-karts have two seats and a rear cargo rack and were sold in red, black, white, orange, blue and green. “GTS” is printed on the side cage and the hood of the GTS models and “Hammerhead” is printed on the hood of the GL models. Hazard: Some models may have been manufactured with a fuel tank that does not meet Hammerhead Off-Road quality standards. The fuel may develop a crack and result in a fuel leak. Recalled Product: 2009-2015 GTS 150, GL 150 and GTS Platinum vehicles. Remedy: Consumers should stop riding all GTS 150, GL 150 and GTS Platinum vehicles and contact their local Hammerhead Off-Road dealer to schedule an appointment to have an updated fuel tank and support bracket installed on their vehicle.
