Approximately 30,000 – 2016 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs manufactured between Feb. 10 and April 28, 2016, and equipped with a 3.6-liter engine built at the Saltillo Engine Plant in Mexico are being recalled.
During engine assembly, the fuel rail crossover tube may have been damaged and, over time, may result in a fuel leak, which in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Dodge and Jeep manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said in a statement that it is unaware of any related injuries, accidents, customer complaints or warranty claims related to this issue.
