GM is recalling certain model year 2016 and 2017 Chevrolet Cruize vehicles, a bracket used in the driver and front passenger seat-back recliner mechanism could have been incorrectly welded to the seat-back frame. If involved in a car wreck, the head-restraints may not properly function and could fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Standard. There are a possible 17,197 affected by this recall. GM will notify owners and dealers for a recall inspection, but has not provided a notification schedule at this time.
